The naming of colors has always interested me. The color spectrum is an unbroken continuum, yet we break it into (seemingly arbitrary) chunks and label the chunks &quot;red&quot;, &quot;blue&quot;, etc. (Japanese is another one of those languages that has a blue-and/or-green color: &quot;aoi&quot;). It seems the names we give things, the conventions we use, say a lot more about us (our minds, our thought patterns, our society, our relationship to the outside world, etc.) than the &quot;true&quot; nature of the world.</description>
